General Counsel and Business Law Attorney

David served for 15 years as in-house general counsel for a government contracts, information technology, and consulting firm.  He has also served as outside general counsel to many local and regional businesses. As general counsel, David has provided his clients with practical and strategic advice on many day-to-day business matters, including:

  • entity formation
  • governance
  • financing
  • licensing
  • franchising
  • contract drafting and review
  • mergers and acquisitions
  • employment law
  • commercial leasing and real estate transactions

Because he understands the litigation process and the business reasons for clients to avoid the time and expense of litigation, David uses his trial experience to help clients develop pro-active strategies to avoid disputes in the first instance, to reduce risks when disputes do occur, and to achieve their objectives through negotiation, with litigation a last, and seldom necessary, resort.
