David is licensed to practice law in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. He is also a member of the bars of several federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit located in Richmond, Virginia; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
David received his Bachelor of Arts and his Juris Doctor degrees from the George Washington University in Washington D.C. After law school, David served as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice and as a prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. His career in private practice spans 30 years, first serving as either counsel or partner for several national and regional law firms before founding The Law Offices of David G. Tripp in 1998.
David is a frequent speaker on a variety of issues involving commercial law and litigation. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Fairfax County YMCA in Reston, Virginia.
David lives in Northern Virginia, has been married for 35 years (to the same woman!), and is the proud father of two wonderful daugters.
